This applies even if the donations are made to the central party whose normal reporting threshold is £5,000. Page 22 of the Commission’s guidance for political parties…

The law doesn’t work like that. Any donation from the same person in any twelve month period which adds up to £200 or more is declarable.

I am surprised you do not know that. The £2000 is a fully declarable donation no matter how it is divided up.
